The Shire Roofing Company won the Garden City Heritage Award for the delightful restoration of a detached property in a Heritage Conservation area in Letchworth Garden City.
"The assessors particularly liked the fairly modest rear extension, made interesting by the Oriel Window, a feature of many early Garden City houses. The quality of workmanship was very high in all the work carried out and most notably in the pebble-dash and roof tiling."
